Review: "The Circuit Riders" by R. C. Fitzpatrick (1962)
Posted on February 8th, 2008
Excellent short story about a police network that prevents potential future crimes by picking up individuals with highly agitated emotional states. Think of a tense episode of Dragnet set in Philip K. Dick’s "Minority Report" and you won’t be far off. It benefits from being a bit darker than the late 50’s/early 60’s fiction normally seen.
Excellent/Highly Recommended. You can read it online here or find it at Project Gutenberg in a couple formats or at Manybooks.net in more.
